Dr. Kyle Faust

Dr. Kyle Faust

 

Dr. Kyle Faust graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. After years of working as an associate vet in Virginia, West Virginia, and South Carolina, Dr. Faust purchased the Pet Health Clinic in 2007. He is married and has one son as well as a lot of extended family in southwest Virginia. In what little spare time he has, his son keeps him busy with activities like biking, hiking, swimming, soccer, and basketball. Dr. Faust's main goals for the future are to keep Pet Health Clinic up to date with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine, to continue to improve the health of pets in our community, and to constantly improve the veterinary experience for our clients.

Veterinary School: Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine

 

Dr. Kayla Shelton (formerly Dr. Muncy) has been at Pet Health Clinic since 2019. She is a 2017 graduate of Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Shelton has been working in Roanoke veterinary hospitals for the past 8 years. She was raised in Bluefield, Virginia on the border of West Virginia. She was Valedictorian of her Roanoke College class, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Shelton is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). Her special interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, geriatric patients, client communication, preventative medicine, business, and fear free handling of cats and dogs. 

Dr. Shelton and her husband Brandon Shelton live in Bonsack. They have a sweet Havanese mix named Teddy, an orange tabby cat named Leo, a long haired cat named Smokey Joe, and a rescue Poodle mix named Cooper. In her free time Dr. Shelton enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. Also, she enjoys watching football, seeing movies, traveling, playing escape rooms, walking, and playing with Teddy and Cooper. 

Dr. Kayla Shelton originally wanted to be a human doctor, until she shadowed a veterinarian and fell in love with the career. She believes animals provide so much joy and unconditional love to our lives that they deserve excellent medical care just like people. Dr. Shelton’s goal is to provide the best care to her patients just like she would for her own pets.

 

Dr. Allison New, DVM

Dr. Allison New, DVM

 

Dr. Allison New is a 2021 graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. In 2016, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Auburn University. Dr. New is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). Her special interests include soft tissue surgery, nutrition, preventative medicine and client communication.

Dr. New and her fiancé Dr. Drew Meehan live in Roanoke. Dr. Meehan is completing an Internal Medicine Residency Program at Virginia Tech-Carilion Clinic. They have a 4-year-old Golden Retriever named Mylo, who enjoys sitting in chairs and acting like a human. In her free time, Dr. New enjoys cooking new and fun recipes, spending time outside with Mylo, cheering on the Auburn Tigers (War Eagle!!!) and spending quality time with friends and family.

Dr. Ted Foster has been at Pet Health Clinic since 2013. He is a graduate in the class of 2006 from Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Foster is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). His special interests include soft tissue surgery, reproductive health, internal medicine, client communication, and preventative medicine.

Dr. Foster and his wife Lori live in Bonsack with their four children Jacob, Abigail, Nicholas, and Daniel. They have a greyhound named Colby, a cockapoo named Molly, a Scottish Terrier Scooter, a cat named Sadie, and 8 chickens. In his free time Dr. Foster enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, and watching his children play sports. Also, he enjoys bird watching, audiobooks, and watching soccer.

Dr. Foster greatly cares for his patients and truly enjoys being a veterinarian.
